LES GORGES DU FIER

LES GORGES DU FIER is an accessible natural site just 6 miles from Annecy. Attracting visitors since 1869, this spectacular, narrow canyon has a footbridge suspended 150 feet above the river. During your visit, you will discover amazing landscapes sculpted by the river and see the sublime and unusual effects of the sunlight on the rocks. Go through the 'Clairière des Curieux', overflowing with fascinating info for all ages, and you will come to 'La Mer des Rochers', a fantastic area which inspired many of the site's legends. There is also a snack bar, patio and souvenir shop to round off your visit.
