Céline is the head of navigation at the Compagnie des Bateaux du lac d’Annecy, whom we meet that day at a worksite in the heart of the dry dock in Sevrier.
Passionate—that’s the word that best describes this Annecy native who discovered the Company in 1992 as a deckhand during a summer job… and it was love at first sight!
Céline learns and trains tirelessly. In 1997, she earned her riverboat license for passenger boats and became the first female pilot on Lake Annecy! Today, despite her many responsibilities, she still pilots whenever she can to stay connected to “her” lake, which she never tires of, and to share her knowledge with passengers. So if you’re lucky enough to board with this exceptional Captain, Céline may very well inspire new vocations!
