Anne is the bubbly director of the Paccard Museum. In 1993, at the age of just 20, she joined the museum of France’s most famous bell foundry as a guide. It was love at first sight with Philippe, a seventh-generation bell founder, whom she married two years later! A decade later, in 2004, she became the new director of what was then known as the Bell Museum. Today, this mother of five is brimming with energy and creativity, which she channels into her passion for this world of molten metal, whose bells ring out across the globe. Anne is also a musician and singer, and her sublime voice blends with the music of the bells during concerts at the Museum. In everything she does, Anne radiates energy and passes on that energy. So if you’re lucky enough to join one of her guided tours, Anne is sure to leave you spellbound!
Founded in 1796, the PACCARD foundry is now one of the flagships of French industry. Located in Sevrier on the shores of Lake Annecy, it possesses ancestral know-how passed down from father to son for 7 generations, and embodies the successful marriage of tradition and modernity.
In 1984, the Museum was created, set up right next to the Foundry, and brought to life by the vibrant Anne Paccard.
